Tim’s Places in France
Tim’s Place in Verteuil –
I had been travelling around France since 2002 looking for a village where I would like to live and by 2007 had decided to look around the Charente region in the South West of France. In September 2010 I bought the Maison du Moulin in the medieval village of Verteuil sur Charente.
The Maison overlooks the Charente river and is situated between a 17th century working Mill and a 1000 year old Chateau. It is a very friendly village and a joy to live in the 18th century house.

Tim’s Place in Carcassonne
I visited Carcassonne in 2012 and immediately fell in love with the city and its’ history. In March 2013 I bought an apartment in the Bastide part of the old city. The apartment is centrally located to all the attractions on offer. Carcassonne is in the south of France close to the Pyrenees Mountains and along the Aude River and the Canal du Midi. La cite, a large chateau which is fully restored overlooks the Bastide and is the main attraction in the region.
